What can I tell you about the Future?

Well, Let's see...I'm a single, 37 year old female. Texas!Born in Slaton, Texas, grew up and currently living in Lubbock, Texas...birthplace of Buddy Holly...and home of the Texas Tech Red Raiders! Other than Lubbock, I lived in the Midland/Odessa area from 1981 to '85, and in Tucson, Arizona from 1991 to '96...

Kitten chasing a butterflyI have no kids, just a kitten named Baby, a cat named Thomas, and Dr.Lecter. Don't let his name scare you, but Dr.Lecter is our resident chef here and has stolen several recipes from Texas Cook.

I met Dr.Lecter via the Texas Chat Line. You can usually find me chatting there. Come meet my TCL friends, they are a great bunch of people! In fact, each May, many of us get together for a camping Trip. Stop in there and check out a few of the pix!

I also chat on ICQ. In fact, I'm probably online right now...

Besides our pets, I love playing my guitar, sewing, cross-stitching, quilting, dancing, camping, fishing, bowling, playing pool and Super Nintendo, swimming, water skiing, and my PC.

(Don't laugh, you must love your PC too, or else you wouldn't have come this far to read my Homepage!)

I am a certified Surgical Technologist, but found myself totally burned out in 1988. Since that time, I've held many job titles, including Administrative Assistant, Administrative Coordinator, Executive Secretary, and ParaLegal.

I'm currently a secretary in the Education Department of the Lubbock State School. Our client base are the mentally disabled (or mentally challenged) population of Lubbock County. My main responsibility is acting as the "go-between" for clients enrolled in the public school system and the schools themselves. I act as something of a surrogate mother, i.e. making sure they catch the bus, call the school if someone is sick, make sure they get home from school, and assist the Director in monitoring their education within the public school system. I'm happy to be working for the State and all those paid holidays don't hurt either!

"What is a Surgical Technologist?" you ask. The Surgical Tech, or scrub-tech, is the person that hands the surgeon the instruments in surgery. By "burned out" I mean the stress from taking trauma call, the child abuse cases, suicides, etc.

Many I meet in the chat rooms ask me for help with their HTML, which I'm more than happy to provide. My HTML Cheat Sheet would be of interest to those wishing to learn some of my tricks. Please feel free to print you up a copy of it if you find it useful. If you have any questions regarding HTML, that I don't address on my Cheat Sheet, please feel free to Email me, but be sure to include HTML in the subject line.

In response to the tons of email and ICQ messages I receive 'warning' me of this or that virus, I have also developed a page solely devoted to these Computer Virus Myths and Legends. Please feel free to email this page to anyone that sends you a virus warning.

Bag Well, enough about me...Lets take a peek inside my bag of goodies, and we'll check out some of the links (and icons) I return to over and over again. Some you may have seen before, other's might be just what you have been searching for!
