Let's start from the top. How many different kinds of turtles are there? There are land turltes, sea turtles, turtles as small as the palm of your hand and turtles as large as a medium sized dog. There are soft shelled turtles, hard shelled turtles, saltwater and fresh water turtles. As you can see from this example, a turtle can exist on any surface on this planet. This should be our personal goal, to not only exist, but to conquer our environment. If the water is too salty, become a sea turtle. If your predator is bigger, become phenomenally huge. We can do this by adopting the "I'm a (this type) Turtle" attitude. Change your turtle with your needs.
The key to success is in your shell. This shell should be defined as courage. If things are too difficult for you to handle, wear the shell to deflect your enemy's attack, whether that enemy is physical, mental, or corporate. The big three.
I wear a necklace I created from two pendants and a cord. The pendants are two turtles, one facing up, one facing down. One is a land turtle, the other a sea turtle. One is small, the other large. I consider it a kinetic structure I call "The Tao of Turtle", based on the philosophy that in all things there is a balance. For every dark, there must be an offsetting light. In this case, it demonstrates the encompassing of all that is Turtle, and the courage to remain one.
