ForgivenessThere came to be Grief and Pain the sword sharp cut the stroke unexpected it burnt so deep it marked my soul measure unwanted bitter salts... Sought defense put up walls hid my hurt behind tears appalled Oh hurt so deep why have you come to me by those lips these words that burn I stood quiet measured the past saw the Joy then measured this grief found the Joy so precious to me seen its measure wanted more to be... reached with heart sought to understand all that was said all that could be.. this thought of future so bleak without precious spirit distant stilled fury and grief it said to me this moment is not worth my future forgiveness began So precious this forgiveness rewarded by a future promise of renewal rebirth a treasured goal Forgiveness the blessing a promise shown to us on a Cross how much Life is in it. |
