The reprint of the "You Jump, I Jump" article is presented here with express written consent of it's author... His letter of consent is below. Thanks, Marion! 1/21/98 Hello: Your e-mail request was a bit of a surprise. For me, this is the first time that I've participated in any type of 'net forum. It's been an interesting experience. I looked at your web page. I anticipated that "You Jump, I Jump! vs. I Love you." was the post that you had chosen. Can you think of a more timeless statement than that? I surely can't. Feel free to use my posts. A few requests. Cranky's forum is open to anybody. I have experienced, along with others, imposters representing themselves as me and writing some of the worse stuff imaginable. Reading my posts, I think you'll be able to determine my style, expressions, etc. If there is any question, I would appreciate you contacting me first to verify authorship. The freedom to use my posts is extended to you. If somebody else wishes to use them, they must contact me and secure my permission. As I've said, this is the first time that I've particpated in any 'net forum. It's been an interesting experience, and, very much, a learning experience. I don't want something such as "Jack Sketches Rose", my post from the forum, being used on some S&M page. I understand that the openness of the 'net makes it difficult to prevent misuse of my or anybody else's stuff. All I'll ask is that you do the best you can. Your statement that there are more cynics than romantics in this world is unfortunate but true. But when you look at what couples have done to each other and with each other in their relationships, I can understand the cynicsm. I have watched this movie three times. The first time as a cynic (This would be Cameron's "Waterworld", "Heaven's Gate). The second and third times as a romantic with my heart. Both of these are part of my character. There are still true gentlemen and romantics left in this world, but we, I fear, are becoming a vanishing breed. If you have any questions regarding this e-mail, by all means give me a call.
Take care, |
