Class of 1978

Mark Joseph Williams, 48, of Blossom Lane, Wallingford, died, Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. He was the beloved husband of Lisa Segaline Williams.

He was born in New Haven, July 23, 1960, a son of Richard L. and Dolores Klimas Williams of Wallingford and was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School.

He had been employed for 25 years at Burt Process Equipment in Hamden, and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church. Mark loved to fish and spend time at his parent's cottage in Maine.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mark is survived by his family and friends who he loved dearly, including his daughter, Emily Williams; his three sons, Mark P. Williams, Michael Williams and Matthew Williams; his granddaughter, Mariah Williams; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Sally Williams of Raleigh, NC, and Rodney and Susan Williams of Durham; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene Segaline Sr. and Anita Segaline of Wallingford; his brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Deborah and Steven Laccone of Wallingford, Eugene Segaline Sr. and Cheryl Segaline of West Haven, and Amy and Gregory Martin of Wallingford; and several nieces and nephews.

Mark's family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Hospital of St. Raphael Oncology Unit and S.L.A. #2, and The Connecticut Hospice for the remarkable care they provided.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to the "The Children of Mr. & Mrs. Mark Williams", c/o The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Wallingford CT, 06492.

30th Reunion

7/27:  Is it really over?!? Our 30th reunion has come and gone. We had a great group of people there last night. We enjoyed the patio at Traditions during our cocktail hour, the DJ played some great music (we never imagined we'd actually, you know, DANCE!), the basket raffle was a success and the food was really delicious! I think we all agree that a summer time reunion is much more enjoyable than trying to fit it in during the Thanksgiving weekend. However, there is talk about an informal get together during Thanksgiving this year. We'll keep you posted.
