  Jaded Two jaded eyes peer out of hollowed bare sockets Gingerly examining the world around only to be disappointed Simply finding nothing concrete amongst a pool of pain Valium slowly weaves its way through the system Its tendrils extending deep into the psyche to establish some foothold A slight foundation for the stronghold to guard against the world outside And perhaps to keep the self in
