Carolyn asked me to list some memories...there are so many its hard to pick. It must have been fall when I arrived as everyone was in school and wearing warmer clothes. I remember going on a hay ride soon after arriving. The Teen Club. Changing from t
e old school where EVERYONE attended to the NEW school. Ms. Chamberlain who taught french, and Eric Noffsinger who agreed with her that she couldn't sing and got HAULED off to the principal. James White who got caught chewing tobacco in class and swallo
ed it. Mostly feeling safe and secure. Not having a real curfew because there wasn't much you could do, at least not then. Dependents were'nt allowed off base unless they were accompanied by parents or on the bus to B-Battery. When the Teen Club, snac
bar and bowling alley closed, there was only one place to go, home. And I loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Maybe some of you can share your memories of that magical time too.
