Imprinting your authority...
As footling, I believe it is essential,
in more ways than one,
for a lady to imprint her authority:

the first occasion would be at the greeting,
take advantage of the compulsory kowtow




You could also adjust a man's behaviour just by walking over, 
that is how powerful and supreme ladies are...

or, if things get out of hand (or for your own pleasure),
heels can be so useful
