So I've been doing quite a bit of walking lately to help labor move along. (I have been losing pieces of my muscus plug too, yippee, another labor sign!) We've been to Oakland Chinatown for breakfast, made a trip to Costco and also went to the lake today. It was a glorious day out at the lake. Greg even caught a nice one.

When we got home, we got a message on the machine. I thought, this better be John. John and Michele are friends of ours that are also pregnant. Michele is 2 weeks ahead of me with her due date, hmmm, last week. Let's just say she has not been a happy camper since she has not made any progress since her last appointment.

Great news! It was John and he reported that they were at the hospital and Michele was dilated to 4 cm! When we got to the hospital, Michele looked tired, but not uncomfortable. Apparently, she went into labor last night at around 11 pm and the pain was real bad. She got the epidural at 2 pm and things moved fast. While we were there, around 6:30 pm, she was almost ready to push. Since her family was there and the Kaiser labor rooms are so tiny, we decided to leave and come back later.

Now we are just waiting to hear if it's a boy or girl!

Hopefully, while I was there, some of the labor dust rubbed off on me and I'll be there soon.
