1. What is your real name? Christi Lovell
2. When is your birthday? August 2, 1974
3. Place of residence? Benton, Arkansas
4. Why do you like to chat? Mostly to meet new people... the reason I chose the EC chat is because I *knew* I had at least one thing in common with the chatters going into it. I stuck with EC chat because I love all these people!!!! :)
5. What do you do in real life? I teach special education for 5-12 year olds receiving long term inpatient care at a psychiatric facility. During the summers, I teach GED classes to serious offenders at the juvenile detention center.
6. What do you do for fun, besides chatting? I like to read, of course... mostly Stephen King, fantasy, horror, and prehistory. I write short stories and poetry and dabble in musical composition. I love puzzles and collect globes and anything with the "earth" motif. Tae-bo is my newest addiction. :)
7. Personal motto? If it ain't broke.........I haven't messed with it yet!
8. Favorite Earth's Children book? Clan of the Cave Bear
9. Least favorite Earth's Children book? Plains of Passage
10. Favorite Earth's Children character? Creb... he always puts me in the mind of my own grandfather.
11. Favorite H.C.C. moment? Oh gosh, gotta be all of ec's famous typos!! Sometimes we have gotten to laughin so hard that I'll be crying and the hubby has to tell me to shut up from the next room!
12. Why did you decide to come to the chat in the first place? I figured the chatters there would be regulars from the board, and during the year I have really gained a lot of respect for the posters because of their (overall) insightful, intelligent, funny, thought-provoking, and varying opinions. I figured, "These are the people I would like to share opinions with!"
13. If you were a character in an Earth's Children book, which tribe would you belong to? Mamutoi... open, opinionated, brash, but overall peace keeping and loving.
14. What is your "bird"? Meadow lark, I think....
15. What is one thing about yourself that the H.C.C.'s don't know? I guess that I've played clarinet since 5th grade... 1986!! About 13 years now. I used to be a lot more serious about it, entering competitions and practicing constantly, and used a music scholarship to help pay for college. Since graduating, I mainly play just to keep my abilities fresh and to help slough out melodies when composing.
My other *shocking* fact? I love really strange music... Manson, Tool, NIN, Nitzer Ebb, Type O Negative, etc. No big deal, but given my profession, musical training, and overall appearance, it usually surprises folks to find this out!
