1. What is your real name? I think I’ll stick with ec
2. When is your birthday? November 21. I left out the year, but I am the chat room granny!
3. Place of residence? California
4. Why do you like to chat? It’s fun. After a long day of work, responsibility, chores, etc., I really enjoy getting silly and goofy with this wonderful group of people that I’ve come to care so much about. I’ve given up my TV time for chat - not a great loss!
5. What do you do in real life? School secretary
6. What do you do for fun, besides chatting? Read (of course), I love to cook, play with dogs,
watch motorcycle races (especially speedway), travel (whenever I get the chance) and crabbing.
7. Personal motto? Life is short, have fun!
8. Favorite Earth’s Children book? Valley of the Horses. I really enjoyed how Ayla not only survived, but thrived and learned to think for herself.
9. Least favorite Earth’s Children book? Plains of Passage. Too much flora and fauna and sex. Not enough people interaction.
10. Favorite Earth’s Children character? Talut and Nezzie. Probably because a couple that are dear friends not only act just like them, but look just like them as well. Whenever I read about Talut and Nezzie, I think of them. Whenever I see them, I think of Talut and Nezzie!
I love Wolf.
11. Favorite HCC moment? All the rooling, droling, snorthing and sterming of tears, of course! And all the great stories...Jac getting knocked out during a softball game; Shamie earning her "Annie" nickname; Liz delivering puppies in the dark after the power went out; Sky’s Indian dinner; the weird phone calls Aleta gets. There’s lots more, too many to list here! All of these things changed the group from cyber friends to real friends with substance.
12. Why did you decide to come to chat in the first place? I saw the post about chatting (I’m not the one that did the original post) and was intrigued with the idea of meeting people I never would have met in "real life" and that would be from all parts of the country and the world.
And as Aeris said, I thought I would have at least one thing in common with them.
13. If you were a character in an Earth’s Children book, which tribe would you belong to? The Mamutoi (Lion Camp in particular). They are open, direct and willing to accept new ideas.
14. What is your bird? I’m a swan...ironic considering Liz’s name!
15. What is the one thing about yourself that the HCC’s don’t know? This was a hard one, but I finally came up with something. I walk and talk in my sleep. It’s really creepy, because I will have my eyes open and talk to people, but I don’t make any sense! Once I was rummaging thru drawers in the middle of the night and my husband asked me what I was doing. I told him I had to get a drink of water for the third graders! Then I went back to bed.
