The SWTT was created for the benefit of all athletes in the South West and provides extra opportunities and experiences through the development of baton twirling. We operate an open door policy to athletes from any Team or Association.
We are now in our 5th year of operation and during this time, have helped 126 young athletes and adults of all levels, in their goal to develop their skills further through regular structured Open Training Seminars.
There have been 17 Twirling Teams who have supported the Open Training Seminars over the last 3 years.
We are proud to have brought together athletes from six different associations, namely BBTSA, NBTA, IBTA, BIBTA, NAME & SWIMA.
We have also formed new friendships with Teams who are not affiliated to any organisation and have assisted them with advice and guidance.
Athletes have travelled from all over Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and as far away as Yorkshire just to attend the events. We thank you for your continued support.
So far, there have been 5 Guest Teachers involved from all over the country, who have provided invaluable input to athletes who have attended. To date we have had Guest Teachers from the BBTSA, NBTA & IBTA.
The SWTT works hard to break down barriers between athletes, troupes and different associations and promotes good sportsmanship throughout.

An organisation like this could not work without the support of the athletes, troupe leaders, trainers, mums, dads, grans, grandads, aunts, uncles and husbands. These people all deserve special praise for all the work they contribute (not to mention all the miles they travel!!)
