The stem can change from e to i in the following examples, in each conjugation:

She measures the length of the skirt.

Changes in the grammatical person I (yo).

In the verb decir to conjugate the grammatical person I (yo), eliminates the consonant c and replace it by g, as in the verbs bendecir and maldecir

In the verb seguir, the grammatical person I (yo) eliminates the vocal u. In Spanish there are various verbs that eliminate the vowel u such as in perseguir, distinguir and conseguir.
 

Yo persigo mi objetivo hasta el final.
Yo sigo esperando en la cola.
Yo digo que cuesta mucho dinero.
Yo me distingo en idiomas.
Yo consigo un buen salario.
I persue my objective until the end.
I continue waiting in the queue.
I said that it cost to much money.
I distinguish myself in languages.
I achieve a good salary.
