| Piedralaves is situated in the Tietar valley on the C501 road between San Martin de Valdeglesias and Arenas de San Pedro, approximately 90k from Madrid, 83k from Ávila and about the same from Toledo. |  |

Piedralaves has many small shops which can provide all the necessities, and has a very old church and many old timbered houses. There are several restaurants and bars in the village. The local hotel swimming pool (close by) is open to non residents from late June to the end of August, there is also a municipal pool. Nearby at Sotillo there is a large supermarket which has a wide range of goods. From the village there are forest tracks for walking or biking and the Sierra de Gredos Mountains are a short drive away. There are plenty of interesting places to visit within easy reach by car and there is a regular bus service to Madrid. |
