PS2 I've never really felt that much love for this system as there appears to be a lot of bad points about it and the good points the other consoles seem to be able to do but better. Why is it so bad? Well for starters it's the least powerful console here although that shouldn't matter it should be the quality of the games that matter but it tends to when look at what the PS2 and the X-box can do side by side. Another thing I don't like is that it only has two controller ports, which means in order to play a four-player game. A similar thing can be said for the internet capability of the PS2 it's not internet ready so you have to buy a modem to play online and for console that already has games capable of being played online and Sony will no doubt gone on about the internet capabilities when the modem is released which is quite annoying. There is also little in the way of good games at the moment although things do appear to be picking up. Ok so I don't really like the PS2 but there are some good points about it firstly the joypad I may not have changed from the PS one's controller but that's a good thing a very good thing as it's ergonomic, comfortable, easy to use and solidly built. It's is also a DVD player admittedly and awkward one to use if you using the joypad but it'd a DVD player never the less. The PS2 is also backwardly compatible with PS one games so no need to sell off you old games collection. One final point it's out already so no waiting which is always a plus. Games have been a sore point for the PS2 recently as like I said before it hasn't really had any good ones but things seem to be changing slightly with games such as Metal Gear Solid 2:Sons of Liberty (Which still isn't bloody out yet) and Tony Hawks 3 (which will most probably get released on other systems anyway.) So things still aren't looking that good on the games side of things but they get better. I may not have come up with more bad points that good ones but I still don't like is the games still aren't up to much which is what really matters but the Sony marketing machine will still probably defend it's self to the attacks of Ninty and MS.
