Game Cube The Game Cube a console by Nintendo. Do I need to say anymore? Yes? Oh right then, well there is little that is wrong with this console it may not be the most powerful but power does not a good console make as I just said?. Just then. For example just look at the erm... and the erm... well it's not as slow as the PS2 put it that way. One thing I don't like though is that they may have (finally) moved away from carts but these nice little DVD things they've got now still have be made by Nintendo like the carts for the N64 carts which caused some problems although no doubt they have sorted it out the potential is still there. It's hard to find other things wrong with it but the GC isn't Internet ready. Some may see this as a fault but ninty aren't' really thinking about online gaming at the moment anyway. It's just as though they saw everyone else putting modems in and they though they'd put one it to just in case. Some people also consider the GC to be a "kids" console but with games such as Duke Nukem set to appear on the console it could help change that image. If it is though fuck 'um the GC may come in nice bright colours and the games maybe bright and simple but they make fucking good games just look at Mario and Zelda on the N64 there two of the best games ever and no doubt future games will be just as enjoyable and good. Enough of that so why do I keep saying it's so good then well it's powerful (not as powerful as the x-box but still.) the joypad is good it's kinda like the PS2 pad only odd looking but it's good to use. Another thing is that I doesn't play DVD's now I think this is good thing, you make think differently, Because it means it's a pure games machine not just a games machine with a shitty DVD player shoved in to make it seem better. If you do want a GC and play DVD's there is a version of the GC being made by Panasonic that will play DVD's (I personally would like one of these just because it's shiny although that may just make you keep polishing it rather than actually playing games on it.) I don't know why Nintendo have decided to licence it's hard were to Panasonic though as they have done this once before with the Sharp Famicom Twin which didn't sell at all. If people want a DVD player with there consoles though I don't know why anyone would want to by a normal GC over the Panasonic GC but I guess Nintendo know what there doing. Last but not least the thing that makes the GC stand out from the rest is the games and while Miyamoto is at Nintendo over seeing a lot of the projects I can see the games staying good. Although when it is released in Japan there won't be that many games for it Wave Race being about the best the launch titles by the time it reaches Europe we should games like the new Mario and Zelda games begin to appear which will make it a hell of a lot better. It has arrived in Japan to luke warm reception although I don't know why maybe they know something we don't but it does mean imports are nice a cheap :-D. I see the same thing happening over in Europe though as some people already have PS2's and the X-box has a higher profile but that doesn't stop it being a brilliant games machine.
