BBC Education - Languages -- The BBC Foreign Language Learning Site with various links and activities for ESL/EFL and other languages

Dave's ESL Cafe -- There's much for ESL teachers and students to see and learn at this site, including a "Graffiti Wall" where youngsters express themselves and an "Idea Page" for ESL teaching tips posted by educators from around the world.

English as a Foreign Language Magazine (EFLWEB) -- EFLWEB is an online magazine for those teaching and learning English as a Foreign Language

ESL/Bilingual/Foreign Language Lesson Plans and Resources -- The owner of this web site is Marty Levine, who is a professor in the Department of Secondary Education at California State University, Northridge. One of his interests lies in preparing teachers to work in ESL and bilingual classrooms. Here one will find links to lesson plans and resources that should prove valuable in the classroom.

ESL and EFL Games, Songs, Lessons and Resources -- A site developed for teachers and students using a method of "fun and games" based teaching.

ESL Home Page -- This home page is a starting point for ESL learners who want to learn English through the World Wide Web where many people have created ESL learning materials. This home page links the teachers and students those ESL sites and other interesting places which has a variety of materials for all levels of language proficiency.

ESL Teacher Connection -- Visit this interactive bulletin board to share successful class activities and lesson plans with other ESL teachers. You also can access the lesson plan archive for examples of successful activities. Featured lessons include one that has students using newspaper cartoons to improve writing skills and another that builds both vocabulary and conversation skills by having the students play verbal games with a deck of picture cards.

Future Culture -- Help your students learn about the wonderful diversity of the world's cultures in this beautifully crafted Web site. Let them take the culture quiz to see how much they know about the world they live in. Contains links to any country in the world.

Game Kids -- At this site, find out about games, recipes, writing, and more. Most of the information on Game Kids has been written by kids. You can even send your own ideas to Game Kids where they may be shared with kids all over the world. A site for collaborative sharing by kids and teens.

Global Business and Language Associates -- ESL-Language Programs

Grammar Safari -- This interesting site takes the study of language into the "jungle" of real-world usage. The "Grammar Safari" activities are suggestions for "hunting" and "collecting" examples of specific words as they are used in documents accessible to anyone on the WWW.

Grammar and Style Notes -- A site dealing with English grammar and style

Instructional Systems for ESL and Composition -- To serve you and your students better, Instructional Systems provides this resource page giving handouts and downloads to help with ESL, EFL, and composition problems. Materials and software may be downloaded at no cost. In addition to providing their own materials, they also provide links to other useful ESL and Composition sites.

International Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) -- This site is dedicated to developing expertise of its members and others involved in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages. The site represents the state of the art thinking in ESL.

Interactive English Language Exercises -- A site full of English language exercises that is maintained by   the Internet TESL Journal

Internet TESL Journal -- A comprehensive site for Teachers of English as a Second Language. This monthly web magazine includes Articles, Research Papers, Lesson Plans, Classroom Handouts, Teaching Ideas, and Additional Resource Links.

Kathy's ESL World -- Improve English language skills through cooking, while learning about American culture at this innovative ESL Web Site. The author provides links to dozens of recipes. You'll also find the lyrics of dozen of popular American songs. Each featured tune includes links to pictures and some background information.

National Clearinghouse on Bilingual Education (NCBE) -- This site contains a wealth of resources including hundreds of full text articles and other research documents for educators, hundreds of links to national, regional, state and other language/education related web sites including e-mail discussion groups about language issues.

National Association of Bilingual Education (NABE) -- This site contains information about initiatives, conferences and legislation/policy related issues for bilingual education and ESL.

PIZZAZ! -- This site is dedicated to providing simple creative writing and oral storytelling activities with copyable handouts for use with students of all ages. Permission is given to use these resources for in-class, non-profit use only.

Topic Areas-K-12 ESL Education -- A site dealing with K-12 ESL issues

Vocabulary University -- Earn a Vocabulary Degree from this site! Participate in these free vocabulary puzzles to enhance vocabulary mastery. Exercises are endorsed by teachers to enrich classroom curriculum and to help prepare for the SSAT, GED, SAT and ACT. Supplements personal vocabulary acquisition in home-schooling and ESL programs.

Word Problems for Kids -- This site contains word problems specifically designed for students and teachers, grades 5-12.
