One of my new hobbies, since I started driving, is working on my truck. It's a 1969 Chevrolet pick-up. I enjoy spending my free time trying to fix it up. I'm working on restoring it to the original shape that it was in when my grandfather bought it in 1970. It costs a lot of money and most of my free time but I think it'll be worth it when I get finished.

Her are just a few things that are wrong with it.

Picture  What it is.  What to do.
rust holes in the floor board  fill the holes and cover them up
dented front fender  buy a new fender
rust holes in bed  fill the holes and cover them with a bed liner
rust spots in the paint  take it to a body shop

These are things that can be fixed but they are going to be expensive. This is mostly cosmetic work and body work. I would still like to work on the motor. It's a 327 cubic inch small block V8, made by General Motors. To see what I've already finished go to my Truck page

Here are a few things that I wont to do.

Put on a four barrel carburetor and intake  The parts are expensive but the performance more than makes up for it.
Put in all new spark plugs and wires  This isn't to hard. I can be finished in about an hour.
Try to fix the windshield washer pump  I've never done this before so it should be a lot of fun! Yeah right!
Change all of the hoses  Everything will look and with new hoses that are all black.
Clean every piece of the motor and paint it.  This is a long and painstaking job, but it's not to hard.

What I do for fun.

Between work and school I don't have to much free time to hang out with my friends and go to parties, or even just time to ride around. I try my best to make time because my friends are more important to me than school or work. without time to have fun you could say I was wasting the best years of my life. most of my friends either don't have jobs or have more flexible work schedules than I do. This makes me feel like I work all the time because I see them when I'm working and there off.

I love to shoot pool and hang out at the pool hall. Mike and I shoot for hours at a time before we ever give up and call it even. Some nights we'll spend $10.00 a piece on games. To keep things interesting we try to do different stuff. Sometimes I stay with Josh and his band and hang out with them and listen to them play music. Sometimes I'll get a couple of my friends and drive to Roanoke or Greensboro on a Friday or Saturday night.

Even though I don't have a whole lot of time, I try to keep things interesting by doing things with my friends!! My home page, Home page has some more pictures of me and the band.
