Everything in [] is my comment. This is an unedited version and plenty of typographic and grammatical errors are expected.

Aoi remembers little about his father. The almost only memory of him is the day when they went to a castle ruin together. After having a good time, his father took off his bracelet and gave it to Aoi. "It's a charm so that you will be a good and strong boy to protect your mother whatever may happen." Soon after the day, he passed away, leaving Aoi, his mother, an old house... and the bracelet.

Aoi is at the Amanohara Railway Station. He is waiting for his mother, Mito, who is supposed to come back to the town today. But another train passes without a sign of her. A local man approaches him and wonders who he is waiting for. "My mother." The man remembers that it is the anniversary of the death of Kagerou, Aoi's father. The man gives him his straw hat for a protection from the sun and leaves. Aoi looks at a photograph in his pass case and wonders why his mother is so late.

Up in space, a pirate ship is hurrying its way. In its bridge, the captain, a young girl, tells her crew that, if they don't arrive in time, they will have to do without a meal. She tells an operator to drive the ship at the maximum speed, ignoring her chief assistant's plea to slow down.

Then a fleet of Galaxy Patrol surrounds the ship. The pirate ship fires its main gun but is powerless before the tractor beam of from the flagship of the fleet. As soon as she finds the ship has been captured, the captain decides to break into the flagship to destroy the system from inside. That's the way she, Mito the Space Pirate, has been fighting. All the two chief assistants can do is follow her in the enemy's ship.

The girl runs through her ship to a room where she jumps into a mail suits [a powered suits] whose appearance is that of a mature woman. Then the suit is ejected like a rocket.

Now that she is inside of the enemy's ship, she and her men put the guards to rout. She comes to the bridge and accesses its computer to find the switch for the tractor beam. A man in a black space jacket stands in front of the switch. She knows him; Ranban, a senior officer of the Galaxy Patrol. He tells Mito to hand her inrou to him. Then he would close his eyes to all the crime she has committed. But Mito has no intention to have a deal with him. The two tells their men not to interfere; they want to settle the matter with a duel of swords. Ranban wants the inrou to justify his righteousness all over the galaxy but Mito has no interest in such a thing. It is Ranban who makes the first move but Mito deftly avoids his sword. Then she converts her sword into a gun and shoots him. Ranban's sword is shot and he drops it. Mito seizes the opportunity and thrash?? at him. Ranban saves her attack by putting a barrier around him. Mito gets thrown away and drops her cherished thing; a 3D photograph of Aoi.

Ranban snatches it. Although Mito tries to get it back, the GP guards and pirates start exchanging fire over her. One of Mito's chief assistants, Shin, transforms herself into a two-dimensional creature and approaches to the switch like a shadow. As she successfully release their ship from the captivity, the other chief assistant, Sabu, drags away Mito, who has been trying to get the photo back. Sabu carries her on her shoulder and runs away from the bridge. Mito resists so hard Sabu has to inactivates her mail suits by touching something near her hip. She has taken an advantage of a bug in the servo system of the mail suits.

The pirate ship escapes from the GP fleet but Mito, now a young girl again, isn't happy at all. She kicks Sabu in the face and bitterly regrets to lose her beloved photograph. Then she abruptly remembers her original aim; she must hurry to Earth! She jumps of her chair. She tells Sabu to take command and rides on a small ship, Shounagon, to go to Earth. Sabu and Shin decide to chase her with Mito's mother.

Aoi finally gives up and decides to go home, hoping his mother is back home by now.

Eye-Catcher

Ranban is back in his base. He summons a boy and a girl, Nenga Masatsuki and Nenga Mutsuki. They are detectives of GP and Ranban give them a special order; go down to Earth and find a boy of the photo, the sun of Mito the Space Pirate.

On his way home, Aoi hears a noise similar to that from a jet plane. But, when he looks up, he sees nothing but a fluctuation of air, like waves on water.

Aoi's home is as quiet as usual, with no sign of her mother. He sadly looks at flowers and fruits on the table which he had prepared for the day. But he fails to see the light above him move; it is Mito's mother. Then he hears a voice of a young girl, searching something. He comes to the room and find a young girl investigating the wardrobes. "Who are you?" The girl runs away. Aoi chases her and finds the door of the storehouse is left open; is she here? But it is her mother who comes out of it. Aoi asks her mother if she saw a young girl but her mother didn't. Instead she gives a warm hug to him.

The mother apologises him to have kept waiting him at the station for a long time. But Aoi is happy enough to see his mother back from New York, where she works as a model. He is a boy with a kind heart, just like his father.

They heads for the graveyard where Aoi's father is buried. It is exactly 10 years since he died. In front of his grave, the mother speaks to Aoi with a determined look. She promised her husband to tell the truth when Aoi grows up.

Mutsuki and Masatsuki have been watching them from a distance. They know that the boy is their target.

"Truth?" Aoi wonders what it is. Then the mother notices that they have been watched. She rather unnaturally tells Aoi to get water, incense sticks and another bunch of flowers for the grave. Then she adds with a serious look, "Please, Aoi", which persuades Aoi. He runs off to get them.

Then Mutsuki comes down near her to arrest her. Mito politely greets her but tells she doesn't want to get arrested. She takes a gun, hidden in her skirts, and attacks Mutsuki. Mito runs away from the sacred grave of her husband. By the time Aoi comes back, the battle between the two has moved to a hill near the graveyard.

Aoi rushes to the hill to save his mother. Mito and Mutsuki fight with guns at a dam construction site and Mito is about to win it. Then Masatsuki comes to the scene. He throws his mecha, "Kaizou-kun" (Mr Convert ^_^;;) to a crane machine nearby, which transforms into a robot. Masatsuki and Mutsuki get in the machine and start attacking Mito. Now it's Mito who is cornered and Mutsuki tells her to give herself up. Aoi has been watching this from behind of a container; "Space pirate?" He is confused but decides to save his mother. Before he does anything, Sabu and Shin come to rescue their captain.

Appearance of two more identified criminals excites Mutsuki. Arrest them all! But she gets interrupted by mushrooms suddenly grown on her head. She forgot to take an immunisation jab against mushrooms [^_^;;]. This makes enough chase for Shin to pull down the robot and Mito kills it off with her gun. Mutsuki and Masatsuki make narrow escape.

On the ground Sabu and Shin reassure themselves how terrible their captain can be when she loses her reasons. Then Mito collapses; her mail suits is broken. Mito, the young girl, appears from the suits at the worst time possible... just when Aoi comes to the scene.
