This section contains a short biography of Ms. Stacy HAIDUK and an essential summary of her artistic career; special relevance is given to those of her works which have reached Italy.

Stacy HAIDUK was born on April 24, 1968, in Grand Rapids, near Miami, Michigan (USA). Both her parents were teachers.
In her teens she was in a dance company, and she also worked as a dancer in several music videos (by Herb Alpert and Laura Brannigan, for instance).
Her first significant TV appearance as an actress was in 1987, in the movie "Magic Sticks".
A year later (1988), at just 20, she got her first major role in an important TV series, playing "Lana Lang" in "Superboy". In Italy, the series is currently (January 2001) being broadcast by the independent TV channel "Teleroma 56" (more). Since that promising debut, TV series have been a constant note in her career, as well as an acknowledgement of her skills: as a matter of fact, only the most reliable and versatile actors get regularly chosen for TV series, which in turn give them a wider and longer fame. No wonder that I first met Ms. Stacy HAIDUK thanks to a TV series, that is, "SeaQuest DSV" (more about this later on).
After two movies (1990 - "Luther the Geek" and "Steel and Lace") she appeared in the sequel of the same TV series, "The Adventures of Superboy" (recently seen in Italy, if I recall it right, on the public TV channel "RAI 3").
In 1992 she took part in a TV movie, "Sketch Artist", and another TV series, "The Round Table".
In 1993, she got the leading role of
Lt. Cmdr. Katie Hitchcock (more) in "SeaQuest DSV",
a production centered around the adventures of a futuristic twenty-first-century
oceanic submarine; she appeared in both the pilot movie and the
whole first season (1993-1994) of the series. These episodes
have just (August 2000) been seen in Italy on the independent
TV channel "Italia 1". Many pictures

1993 was a pretty busy year for her, since she also worked in the TV series "Route 66".
In 1994 she co-starred in the TV movie
"A Perfect Stranger" with Robert Urich
(of world-wide fame as "detective Dan Tana").

In 1996 she was back with the movie "Yesterday's Target". In the same year, her career had a sudden turn when she got the leading role of "Lillie Langtry" (more) in "Kindred: The Embraced", a TV series dealing with the world of vampires. In 1997, she had a major role in the TV movie "The Beneficiary". (more). An excellent Italian dub of this movie has been broadcast by RAI2 (the Italian public TV, Channel 2) on primetime (8:45 PM) Saturday 24, February 2001, under the title "Il tarlo del sospetto" ("The gnawings of suspicion").
In 1998, she appeared in the movie "Little City".
In 1999, she portrayed the character "Ilona" in the movie "Gabriela", from which the photos below are taken (more).

1999 again, she played geneticist "Jennie Carter"
in Paramount Pictures´ "The Darwin Conspiracy"

Besides her leading roles in movies or TV series, Ms. Stacy HAIDUK has also appeared as a guest star in a few more series; here is a short list of those recently broadcast in Italy.
"The Sentinel" - playing "Veronica" in episode "Dead End on Blank Street". In Italy, the series is currently (January 2001) being broadcast by the public TV channel "RAI 2". A few pictures from this appearance can be found in the "Pictures" section of this site.
"Charmed" (Italian title: "Le streghe") - playing "The Guardian of The Urn" in episode "Feats of Clay". In Italy, the series is currently (January 2001) being broadcast by the public TV channel "RAI 2" on primetime Mondays (more).
"Nash Bridges" - playing "Pamela Smith" in episode "Danger Zone". These episodes have just (October 2000) been seen in Italy on the independent TV channel "Italia 1" (more).
"Melrose Place" - playing "Colleen Patterson" in episodes "Deja Vu All Over Again" and "Catch Her In a Lie" (1997 - more & more). These episodes have just (February 2000) been seen in Italy on the independent TV channel "Italia 1".
