Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Fantasy Theatre)
January 14-16 & 21-23, 2000
Mwah, ha, ha, ha....
As is the trend with stuff during senior year, this is probably the final Fantasy Theatre show I will do ever. But at least it ended off on a good note, right? Well, to my great surprise I was the stage manager for this show. Why am I surprised? It always seemed like this position was always reserved for Sara Copp (same name, yeah, I know), the resident Fantasy Theatre stage manager. She (the other Sara) told me it was okay and that I should do it. But I couldn't help but feel guilty and like I was stepping on her toes now that she was pushed backstage. Anyway, I was the stage manager which, looking back on it, was kind of a blessing in disguise. This was my first experience with teching shows, writing cues, creating a prompt book, and calling a show. All stuff I was going to be expected to know how to do for the high school's production of Fiddler on the Roof (where I was to be the assistant director) in a few months. Fantasy Theatre actually provided me with a nice, minimal stress learning environment to help prep me for this show and shows to come.
