101 Pounds of Fun...
That was how much fun I had with this show. Whether it be from building the set, to painting, to helping move set pieces during the show. Seriously, it was a lot of fun. And it was a learning experience too! I learned that set pieces know where they want to live and what color they want to be painted. I learned that no matter what happens, the show must go on! And, finally, I learned that this is something I want to pursue in my life. It is just too much fun not to do. I hope you enjoyed my trip down memory lane. As for the show itself, I was on the running crew which helped set the set pieces. But while we weren't doing anything backstage, we kept ourselves busy by doing odd things. For example, mimicing the actors onstage was always a popular (and amusing) pastime. As for the show itself, the show is a lot of fun. The showstopping number of the first act has to be "Nothing Like A Dame", especially when performed by our guys. But the entire show is capped off by none other than "Honey Bun" in the second act. Well, I really hope that while this show is over, my new love for this is not. I also hope that in the future I continue to help out with more and more shows! We shall see what happens!
