Notes: Having failed in my previous attempt to make a point about campus organizations having no sense of humor, I decided to invent my own special interest group so I could go after them whole hog. This was the year when magazines like Time and Newsweek were contrasting the current batch of college students to those in the late 60s, and commenting on the modern lack of commitment to improving the state of the world. The result? Students who were more interested in showing moral outrage than in actually accomplishing anything.
