Discussions are taking place that will decide if your council home is to be sold or transferred to housing associations.

We are opposed to the selling off of our homes and believe that we should get together and fight this.

Don’t ignore this and think it doesn’t affect you as it does and if we leave it too long they will be sold or transferred to Arms Length Management (ALMO) who could put up your rents to pay for repairs done to your own home.

Defend Council Housing in Nottingham

Support the six demands that would give council housing a secure financial future:  

·       End the Daylight Robbery tax on tenants rents

·       Free councils to borrow for investment

·       Return all capital receipts to fund investment in our homes

·       Write-off all HRA debt - not just for councils who transfer

·       Fund council borrowing via a new allowance in the 'formula rent' calculation

·       Use Local Authority Social Housing Grant to build new council homes
