We The People Mac: Cuban cigars are illegal. Harm: What, are you going to turn me in? Mac: No, but it gives me insight into your character Harm: Boy, you are tough. Mac: We have 33 minutes, Commander. (Harm looks at his watch) Harm: How do you do that? Mac: I've got great timing. Harm: Colonel O'Hara is your uncle and you didn't tell me? Mac: I thought you knew and were playing it cagey. Harm: I'm not that devious, Mac. Mac: Is that all the civvies you packed? Harm: Yeah, I didn't know I was going undercover as your date. Mac: Oh, is that the story I'm supposed to tell my uncle. Harm: Yeah, you tell him we were on a camping trip, you saw him on TV and thought you'd pop in for a visit. Hey, there's a bed back here. Mac: So? Harm: (smiles, then whipes the expression of his face at her stony look) Well it fits our cover story. Mac: That's a very nice smile and I'm sure most of the time it gets you what you want but I don' know you, Commander, so if you don't mind I'll keep my personal reasons to myself. Mac: There's a huge cave. We camped out for a month and never saw another soul. Harm: A month hunting dinosaur tracks? Mac: And drying out. Harm: The Colonel's an alcoholic? Mac: No, I am. I haven't had a drink since I was nineteen, thanks to him. Uncle Matt: Where did you find this sailor, Sarah? Mac: In a rose garden, Uncle Matt. Harm: Permission to come aboard? Mac: Permission granted. Secrets Harm: Leave it to the Marines. Mac: Most people do. Harm: How do you find anything in here? It's like a free fire zone. Mac: I know exactly where everything is......except the Billings file. Heroes Bud: With you and Major MacKenzie on opposite sides of the case, it's like watching your parents fight. Harm: Bud, what goes on in the courtroom isn't personal. It's part of the process. Bud: Sure hope the Major knows that, sir. Harm: I'm sure she does. Mac: Commander Rabb. You sandbagged me with that ricocheting bullet line. Harm: Mac, I was just doing my job. I'll buy you lunch. Mac: Buy me lunch? You make a fool out of me in there, but out here, we're still supposed to be friends? Harm: Yes Mac: No. Maybe you can turn it on and off like a bilge switch, but I can't. Harm: Mac, you're taking this far too personally. Mac: You're damn right I am, Commander. Mac: If you have some evidence I should know about... Harm: You'll eventually get it, and then you can plea bargain. Mac: In your dreams, Commander. Harm: Oh you don't wanna be in my dreams, Major. Mac: Red light, Commander. Harm: Red light? There was nothing sexual in what I said, and if you think there was then maybe I should be giving you the red light. Mac: Why don't you just face it? Sooner or later you have to lose a case. This just happens to be it. Losing your first case is a rite of passage, Commander. |
