Patricia acted as a Contributing Editor to Astronomy Magazine. She writes hobby, travel, and feature articles. While on staff at the magazine for three years prior, she worked as Photo Editor, Assistant Editor, and Webmaster, as well as the Lead Computer user for Astronomy and several other Kalmbach publications. Additionally she was responsible for reviewing and announcing all astronomical software received by the magazine.

Under her guidance as Photo Editor, the magazine won two Alfred Eisenstaedt Awards from Life magazine. Specialties include public and educational astronomical outreach and travel.

She has written for numerous other national magazines and online venues including New Choices, Sky & Telescope, National Parks, and Discover Online.

She worked as the Chief Production Officer of The Global Telescope Network, Inc. She's known for her many contacts within the field, her expertise in remote and robotic observatories, and internet website development knowledge in that rapidly growing field.

Current projects include: Mythic Travels (a specialty travel company dedicated to learning and the exploration of prehistoric astronomical sites) and Second Star on the Write (a star-gazing e-zine for everyone and anyone). Additionally she is participating in the organization and implementation of an organization and center devoted to the dissemination of information of prehistoric astronomy and the cosmology of Native Americans.
