SG-1 was sitting in the briefing room like usual… well, as usual as it got around the SGC. General Hammond was describing to them their upcoming mission. They were going to PX4-379, where they would be negotiating a diplomatic treaty with what appeared to be a very advanced civilization.

"What do you mean, 'appears'?" asked Daniel.

"Well, SG-8 made first contact with the people of this world three days ago. They came upon technology they had never seen before. The people seem friendly and willing to share, but they all seem… very young and we are also having communication difficulties."

"Young, sir?" Major Carter asked.

"Yes, young. None of the inhabitants seemed to be over the age of 25," General Hammond explained. "That is why I am assigning SG-13 to accompany you on this mission."

"SG-who?" Colonel O'Neill asked.

"13."

"We have a 13?" asked O'Neill.

"Well, since we have a 15, sir, it would be logical that we have a 13." Carter smiled.

"Yeah, I guess so... but wouldn't that be kinda unlucky?"

General Hammond gave O'Neill a "don't-go-there" look as two young officers came up the stairs to the briefing room. The General turned and nodded his greetings to them. "Lt. Colonel Bryn, Major Becca, thank you for joining us. Where is Colonel Cara?"

"Bryn gave her too much chocolate ice cream again so she's paying her respects to the latrine. She should be along shortly," Becca commented.

The girls took their seats as the last member of their team joined them.

"Colonel Cara, how are you feeling?" General Hammond asked.

"Good, thanks. Sorry I'm late."

Jack took one look at Cara and asked: "*You're* a colonel????"

"I'm the youngest Colonel ever," Cara smiled.

"SG-13 is a very young unit but highly qualified. I assure you that they are among the Air force's finest." The General glared at O'Neill.

"Each of us hold doctorates in our respective fields. We also have advanced training in personal combat, special ops missions and diplomatic procedures. Do not be fooled by our age, it merely gives us a different perspective and believe me, Colonel, we are very good at what we do," said Bryn.

"Major Becca, being a computer specialist, and Colonel Cara, being a engineer, will assist Major Carter with the technology. Lt. Col Bryn will assist Dr. Jackson with the negotiations as well as doing biological surveys of the planet. Any questions?" the general asked. "It will take two days to get to the city; you leave it one hour."

Fifteen minutes later, as SG-13 were getting ready in the locker room, they were discussing the upcoming mission.

"This is it guys, our chance to prove my theories!" Becca exclaimed happily.

"What theories?" Bryn asked as she proceeded to pack her gear and equipment.

"About Colonel O'Neill and Major Carter of course!" Becca scoffed at her. "Plus, I am just dying to know if the rumors about Dr. Jackson and Dr. Fraiser are true too."

"Well that one is obvious enough. Do you really think anyone could get hurt that much, accidentally?" Bryn commented. "And as to O'Neill and Carter, how do you suppose you will prove that? There are strict regulations forbidding them from even admitting their feelings for each other, and they are far too good of officers to break regulations."

"Leave it to me, I am the master of disguise!" Cara bubbled. "Hey look guys I've got the chocolate!"

"For some reason leaving anything to Cara just gives me this horrible sense of dread," Bryn mumbled as they finished packing and left the locker room.

Cara, upon hearing this, promptly told her to shut up.
