Mechs

If you want to win, you have to know what mech you are using and what mech is the enemies are using. Every House, Liao, Stainer, and Davion uses different. There is a list of mech that you will properly find in Mechcommander 2

Anubis

House Liao deploys the Anubis, the fastest ’Mech on Carver V, as a scout. Jump jets allow it to ignore obstacles, and its LRMs offer light damage from long range. The Anubis is definitely not an effective choice for extended combat, but it can exact harsh retribution if ignored. The Anubis features Ferro-Fibrous Armor, making it exceptionally well armored for a scout.

Atlas

One of the most powerful 'Mechs on any battlefield, the Atlas was designed to be as impenetrable as possible and to look as foreboding as conceivable. Its excellent mix of weapons tends to favor those with longer ranges, and it has the highest armor rating of any 'Mech anywhere. The main drawback of the Atlas is its slow speed, which provides its more intelligent enemies with a chance to retreat.

Blood Asp

Recently introduced by Clan Star Adder, the Blood Asp is one of the first 'Mechs to field breakthrough Heavy Laser technology. Delivering incredible damage at all ranges, the Blood Asp makes short work of any enemy regardless of size. However, all this firepower comes at the cost of mediocre armor protection.

Bushwacker

Designed with flexibility in mind, the Bushwacker is often called the Jack-of-all-trades 'Mech. It typically carries an assortment of short-, medium-, and long-range weapons. Fast and maneuverable, it is ideal for reconnaissance missions.

Catapult

The Catapult is the prototypical support 'Mech, capable of devastating opponents from a distance with its impressive Long-Range Missile Racks, but terrible in close combat with its weak short-range weaponry and comparatively weak armor. If well supported, the Catapult can shine in its role as a stand-off offensive threat.

Cougar

A redesign for the Clan Puma-class 'Mech, the Cougar has reduced acceleration compared to its predecessor but significantly increased firepower. The Cougar's excellent heat dissipation system allows it to mount extensive laser and missile weaponry, making this 'Mech a potent and lightweight fire support unit.

Cyclops

House Liao's designers have updated the venerable Cyclops BattleMech with the most advanced communications and sensor hardware available. Able to tap into Liao's sophisticated satellite array even during combat situations, this Assault-class 'Mech acts as both the nerve center of a battle and a mobile command center.

Enfield

An effective medium-range fire-support 'Mech, the Enfield delivers a heavy blow in tandem with other 'Mechs. Commanders sacrifice relatively little drop weight to put an Enfield into battle and gain a nimble 'Mech with good weight-to-firepower ratio.

Fire Ant

Light, fast, and inexpensive, the Fire Ant brings its Flamer and Machine Gun Arrays to bear when deployed en masse on ’Mech teams attacking fixed bases. Used extensively as a sentry, the Fire Ant can fight relentlessly without the support of heavily armed ’Mechs.

Highlander

The Highlander is an older Assault 'Mech equipped, surprisingly, with jump jets. For decades many Inner Sphere houses have used the Highlander as the backbone of countless mobile assaults. Though slow moving, few 'Mechs perform so effectively on so many different battlefields.

Hollander

The Hollander, simply put, is a 'Mech built around a gun. With its comparatively light frame supporting a Gauss Rifle, the Hollander is best suited for engaging opponents at long range, using terrain and line of sight to its full advantage..

Hunchback

The Hunchback has an impressive record for in-close fighting, where its heavy Autocannon can be put to good use. While adequately armored for its weight class, the Hunchback should avoid extended tours of duty.

JagerMech

The JagerMech has a prestigious heritage and a stable, if somewhat antiquated, design. As a long-range fire-support 'Mech, it rarely closes with its enemies, preferring to remain at long distances firing its four Ultra Light Autocannons.

Lao Hu

Combining excellent mobility, jump capability, and state-of-the-art heat dissipation technology, the Lao Hu is an aggressive and deadly weapon for House Liao. Commanders often assign this unit to the front line, an area where many Liao 'Mechs historically do not excel.

Mad Cat

One of the best-designed 'Mechs among the Clans, the Mad Cat combines long-range missiles and a dazzling array of supporting energy weapons. At extreme distances, it may be mistaken for its counterpart--the armless Catapult.
