This is a simple project using a curtain rod and curtains. If you don’t have any on hand, they are easily purchased at discount department stores like K-Mart or Wal-mart. Bend the curtain rod in thirds, and straighten the ends with a pair of pliers. Hang the rod over the bed using the brackets it comes with.
Anchor the curtin rod to the ceiling with some cording or ribbon(preferably something that will be used for the tiebacks or that matches/blends with the curtains)to a screw-in hook in the ceiling. Attach curtain hooks to curtains and put them on the rod.
Using cording or ribbon, make a loop around the curtain, leaving enough of the tieback for the tassel to dangle, and nail the cord up in the back.
HINTS: For those wishing to keep expenses down, use an old curtin rod and curtains. Remember to check out parents' attics and yard or tag sales for these items.
