jake
a.k.a.: captain canine.
super powers and how i discovered them: the tail of vengence. how did i discover it? all you have to do is watch this dog's tail. it's crazy. it wags when he's happy, hungry, in need of a walk, lonely, ect. and jake's tail is like a whip. that thing hurts if it smacks you. and it whings around with so much force, it's a wonder there aren't more broken things lying around and more dents in the furniture. all jake has to do to defeat a bad guy is whack them with his tail enough, and they'd fall down, covered in welts and bruises, and have broken bones all over the place.
the voice of truth. my neighbors have a baby grand piano. so, naturally, i sit down and play on it. i mean, how could i resist? and as soon as i start playing the only thing i still have memorized, jake sits in front of the door near the open window, and starts howling like a coyote. of course this startles me, and the first thing i think of is "oh, god, i've managed to hurt him." so i go over to see what's wrong with him. i can't tell if anythings wrong, so i go back and play some more. he howls again. i stop, he stops. i start, he starts. and so it goes until i finally realized that he was singing along, loud enough for random passerby to hear. so, if jessie can shepherd the criminal(more on that below) into the keyboard, jake can start yelping away until random people break down the door, thereby catching the criminal. clever, no?
jessie
a.k.a.: super shepherd.
super powers and how i discovered them: the wall of encumbrence. like i said before, jessie is HUGE. massive. gargantuan. comes up past my knees when she's on all fours. all she has to do is stand right in front of you, and you're not going anywhere for a long while, or at least until she moves. and if you move in the wrong direction she blocks your path until you have no choice but to move in the correct direction (such as going the opposite direction from the door when she wants outside).
the weight of justice. jessie weighs approximately....3 tons. if she really, really wants to stop you, all she has to do is to sit on you. i discovered this when i sat down on the couch, and jessie sat down on my lap. so i didn't move for a while. in fact, i could hardly breathe, let alone move. if jessie and jake need to keep a bad guy from going anywhere, jessie'll just sit on them. might crush their chest cavity and/or suffocate them, but it will keep them pinned.
