The Bird Bath
This is the same house as the Garden. I used parsley again for the grass and made a walk way with crushed sea shells. A duck is surveying pieces of bread left by an earlier visitor and a playful bird is cooling off in his very own birdbath.
The bread crumbs are cupcake sprinkles glued to the grass. The birdbath base is a nipple to a baby bottle whose top has been snipped off. A cylinder, wooden bead offers support for the bowl. I purchased the wooden bowl from a craft store and added Liquid Illusion for the water. The braided accents on top of the bowl and the base of the bath is Crayola Modeling Compound. Roll out a thin snake-like pieces and twist together. The compound dries overnight. The bird is made from the same.
A little bird has found privacy for her eggs atop this cage. I purchased mini wreaths at the craft store and used one as a nest. I glued Spanish Moss in the nest to resemble twigs. The eggs are also made from the Crayola Compound and the bird was a
purchase.
