Okay, weird story: I bought this album when it came out, but I somehow liked it then, but I never listened to it. I don't know. I'm pretty crazy sometimes. Anyway, I get to loving this album, and this band. They had all this hype about them that they were going to change the direction of rock and whatnot, but then they break up. What the hell is that? So I sort of shelve the album and that's about it. Then I break out the album after a really long time, and I realize that I really love this album. I like pretty much everything about the band. I like the music more than anything though. The guitarists use all these really weird chords all the time. It's really hard to follow sometimes. I don't know. Good stuff. Plus they write lyrics that are a combination of: significant politcal value, and making no sense. Really wierd, but I like it. And their lead singer screams a lot and it's cool, because he screams to the top of his ability. It's really cool, because you can tell that's as loud/high as he can scream. But he also sort of sings.
Stand out tracks: Arcarsenal, One Armed Scissor, Sleepwalk Capsules, Invaled Litter Dept., Enfilade, Rolodex Propaganda, Quarantined.
They also have this EP called Vaya, and it's freakin' amazing. And then the other bands they have become would be Sparta and The Mars Volta.
