Green Day - DookieWhat can I say about Green Day? For starters, they popped my cherry. They were, other than the Beatles, THE first band I ever liked. And the thing was, when I first started liking Green Day, it was when this album came out. So it was cool. The Beatles don't become cool to like until you are my age. Oh well. Anyway, I really like this album. I also had an amazing time trying to decide whether I should pick this album or Nimrod. Actually I almost wanted to put Warning on here, and supposedly it sucks. I liked it. Anyway, I like the music on here because it is when the whole punk revival thing was new. And Green Day is the embodiment of punk music today. Actually pop-punk, but that's beside the point. I met Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead singer/guitarist of Green Day, and that was cool. Another cool note: Billie Joe really likes The Catcher In The Rye a whole lot. That's all.

Stand out tracks: Chump, Long View, Welcome To Paradise, Basket Case, She, When I Come Around, In The End, Bonus Song.

That's it. I think that the only reason I picked this one was because of it's significance in both music history and in my life. That doesn't really make any sense, especially the last part, but I don't really care. Yeah.
