Music » System of a Down » Toxicity
The interesting fact of System of a Down would be that I liked a few of their songs before this album, yet I never looked into the albums. Well, then this album came out, and I have to say that I really liked it. I like the political activist stance on several of the songs, but then they also have songs that aren't about politics. That is cool. Umm, this album was rated some sort of crazy high rating by just about every magazine ever! It won album of the year hundreds of times. Thousands. I like the fact that the drums are cool because they are very driving. They move the songs along nicely. Plus, I love the guitar work that Daron Malakian does. He does all these crazy fast palm mutes all the time, and then at times he strums sort of like he would a mandolin. Classic. And they are Armenian. Anyway, I still like them, and I still like you.
Stand out tracks: Prison Song, Jet Pilot, Chop Suey, Bounce, Atwa, Toxicity, Aerials.
Even though I'm not Armenian, I will still give them some respect. Because I like them, and that's the only reason. It has nothing to do with my fondness of Armenian rock groups.
