Music » The Clash » London Calling
Okay, this is mainly on here because of a combination of things. First off, Cody told me he agreed with every single album on my Top 20 except for Jay Z's Vol. 2-Hard Knock Life. That got me thinking: I like the album, but I sort of put it on there for some unknown reason. I mean, I have other albums I like more than this one, but it still squeeked on there. So, then I was a music store in Toledo the next day, and I saw that album, which I own, but that just refreshed my memory of how much I like it. Wait that's wrong. It was the same day. I saw the album the same day I thought about how Vol. 2-Hard Knock Life made it onto the list. That's not important, but neither am I so we match. Anyway, this album, although The Clash are considered a punk band, is not punk. It's just about everything except punk. It's a great album that has all kinds of musical genres on it. And they are sort of a political band, but not all the songs are. Actually they are a political band, but yeah, same thing. Good stuff, and heavily influential on every band that is out today, especially the pop-punk bands and the "emo" bands. And one of their guitarist's name is Joe Strummer. That's his actual name, and it's sort of weird because he strums a guitar, and his last name is Strummer. I like it at least. That's all. Mick Jones is a cool cat too. And the album cover is extremely famous. I think it's my second or third favorite album covers of all time. And on that note, I'm outta here.
Stand out tracks: London Calling, Jimmy Jazz, Rudie Can't Fail, Spanish Bombs, Lost in the Supermarket, Clampdown, The Card Cheat, I'm Not Down.
Hi, I like The Clash and I know they like me. That's about all. Cool stuff and so are you. Laters. Again.
