To go back to where it all really started you would have to go to a little local store named "San Fransico" in the days before STD was even concieved. You see in this store they sold golden blazers. This got the minds of Tyler Burry and Dean Sparkes going. They brought these blazers to Grand Bank where they decided to find a little more about the town. Neither wanting to be behind the camera due to their large egos, they asked friend Shannon Davis to do the camera work. Much hilarity followed.
Needless to say the video went over well. So well, in fact, that a friend of the group (Capt. Jennifer Crann) who was leaving the province asked for a 'going away' video. Not ones to turn down the chance to make fools of themselves and others, they fulfilled the request. Seeing that they could keep making movies they decided to give themselves a name. Shannon, Tyler and Dean came up with STD. It was here that STD productions was born.
STD productions was then put on hold due to school obligations. When the group met again in the summer Dean was unable to play a large role in the productions but willing to lend a hand whenever possible.
And then Danny Rowsell came along and STD productions was offically started in June of 2002 by these three "friends" (and I use the term loosely) -
Shannon Davis, Tyler Burry & Danny Rowsell - hence the new S, T, and D.
This STD should not be confused with that other STD... we try not to think about that too much, and neither should you!
