From an interview with Stela Vesa:

It has been said that your works give evidence of a very personal way of seeing the world. How do you feel about this statement?

Painting for me is an act of supreme will: the will to release myself from the concrete and to enter the world as I see it. I would consider that my paintings are successful if the viewer feels him or herself being recharged by the energy emanating from the work. From early childhood, I have led an isolated existence. This led me to decide, after my professional training, to find an isolated place to paint. Come and discover my world!

Selected excerpts from some critical appreciations:

“Wherever, whenever in whatever space or time, she communicates something absolutely personal”

Nicolae Brânda, Cultural Editor, Crisana Newspaper
(translated from Romanian).

“Stela Vesa has a distinctly unique style that tends towards precision and towards perfection.”

Curth Goedecke, Art Critic, Angelsbacke Exhibition Catalogue- September 15th, 1994
(translated from Swedish).
