Step 10 is a brownsville based punk/ska band that has it's origin dated back to differnt from what the band does today. the line up in 1997 consisted of Louie / vocals - guitar , Richard / bass , and Phil as the drummer. The band mostly did emotional punk or emo. Eventually the band found itself bored with the sound and began speeding things up. Phil quit because he didn't like the new fast sound the band was embarking on. enter Edward on drums. Edward was a great drummer only he was motivated by money and not the love for the music, so eventually he too will the band. before his departure, Step 10 put out 2 cd's. the first cd " Woo Woo" wasrecorded over the summer of 1997. it was a 12 song cd recorded in Corpus Christi at Geek and Jerk Studios with Noah of the band, Right Turn Clyde. Eventually, Step 10 will employ the need for a guitarist for more versatile live shows. Enter Ronnie.. Ronnie was a crazy dude. his only problem was his drinking and other extra curricular activities. Step 10 would go on to release the cd entitled, "What's Wrong With Today's Kids " in March 1999. This cd got a lot of air play on 92.7 FM on South Padre Island. Step 10 would gather quite a big following around this time until the band abrupt ending in summer of 1999. The band had a falling out. Louie tried for yearsto get the band going again only to run into non-commited individuals. Richard moved away (SPI) , Ronnie (who knows?) , Edward got married. Finally in Febuary of 2003, Step 10 found itself with a complete new line up - Louie - vocals, Mike - guitar & horns , Joel - bass , Brett - guitar and Sam on drums. this line up put out a cd entitled " Right On (2) " in May of 2003. Again the band has a new line up. Sam left to go to school , brett had a child and new members entered : Ray - bass (we moved Joel to guitar) , Joe - drums , and Adam - horns. Step 10 is still playing shows and working on cd number 4.
