while listening to triple J's top 100 and drinking blue ice,(man I love holidays!) I used the tutorial from mac uni librairy to start the following web pages; Setup, default, aims, me and journal pages writting some basics out.

Discovered that Vern Is really useful for organising heaps and heaps of windows! making the tool bar useless.

to do..

  • spell check
  • make up an interesting background
  • get some more beer

Back at uni and studying hard.... Spruced up links page and went brown on the text.. Groovy... not that the color scheme has much going for it anyway..
    7-9 March
Procrastionating again... Added more links and cleaned up a little.. added more to 'who is steve'... used my toaster a lot to avoid eating college food..
    11 March
FIxed up connecting links on all the pages.
    21 March
put in background.gif to make the pages more interesting. Dodgy back ground though..

re designed the links page with a frame and index for fast as easy access and added some more links to top it up... happy Easter every one!!
    30-31 march
Big weekend of web hacking... set up heaps of picures to most of the links in order to brighten up the links pages.. finally figured out how to use targets to get rid of frames.

Spent most of Saturday at Equinox... great gig..

made another background, I have decided that a good back ground makes the text clear.. a good technique is to not have any distinct lines and to avoid having lines at the edges of the image place points so that the actual background is continuous.
  • I have been adding to my web links pages as I surf the net.
  • I have also started a college web page that I hope will be the basis for some web pages for college run by the students.

I have been doing a lot of uni work lately and so not much is happening. I changed the background to be a bit smaller and more colourful. I have been adding lots of links in my attempt to find information on the net.I am starting to think that it has too many and needs weeding down it. Boy it is hard to come by a good source thoughand is often a waiste of time. NIST is a good page with interactive Infrared specta of heaps of molecules.

yeh Holidays!! looked into putting my page on the web and have now placed it on hardy at Macquarie uni.. What an ego boost! A lesson to be learned here ensure that your page is able to be accessed by people when you tell them they can.

Back to the slog of uni, :) Ahh but time enough to work on writting more web stuff.. Set up a rmc web ring with people in college and made a cute little animated gif to link every one together. This ring will probably achieve what I set out to do with the rmcyberville in getting a college student based web pages.
I have also put page counters on my hardy pages which is great and I have used a java script that bob chen developed to count the number of times that I have visited the hardy page allowing me to work out which hits are other peoples.
I have rearranged the default page in order so that it all fits together in a smaller screen.
I am now using ie4 which seen good except that I am finding it difficult to steal http addresses with the properties not allowing you to copy url. :( .
I am thinking about linkiung this journal directly to the default page as I think that it is getting to a good read able size. What do you think?

Well I have finally given in and started using a html editor frontpad by microsoft (small and limp) wrote up some pages for rmcyberville like a phone list, hint page and did up the colour scheme with the fonts avaliable. Changed from the old blue pool background to an impressionistic yellow and blue thing.

hey hey This page is now over a year old how exciting.. I have just copied the login prompt for hotmail into my home page for ease of access. Won a free mouse today from a competion That I happened to enter which was really cool.

Back To the top I've had enough... take me home!!!
