Thus, while Arimidex may do an excellent job at 1 mg/day for an AIDS patient using 250 mg/week of testosterone, it may fail to outcompete 1 gram per week of testosterone unless the dose is increased. This problem is true of Cytadren also. The other type of aromatase inhibitor is one that actually destroys the enzyme, and is itself destroyed in the process.
