How I made these images

How I made these images

I've been fascinated by stereo images for a long time but only recently did I realise that stereos can be made also for 3D games like MOHAA. Usually, anaglyph photographs are taken with special stereo camera, and there are also computer-generated stereos for design purposes.

To make a stereo screenshot, you'll need two screenshots of the same object/scene but slightly apart from each other. To do that, face what you want to take a picture of and take a screenshot by pressing F12 key. This will be a picture for the left eye. Then strafe slightly to the right and take another screenshot - this will be a picture for the right eye. It is important that in the process there are no moving objects or moving people in the view, or else your stereos won't come out right. Some of the Nazi soldiers were standing very still so I was able to include them in the pictures as well.

Now that you've got a pair of screenshots (called stereo pair), you'll need to convert them to an anaglyph image. To do this you can use one of the programs that is freely available over the Internet, such as Anaglyph Maker (www.stereoeye.com/index_e.html).

To view anaglyph images, you need a pair of either red/green, red/blue or red/cyan glasses. You may own one already but if you don't you can order them from several websites, some of them even give out one pair for free!
