The first B-Show HELL was a sucess on the WTSB Superstation but GCW has decided to not make the program a weekly series, but instead run the program on a Ad-Hoc basis when the company feels more hype or push is needed for certain events or individuals.

This is believed to be due to the high costs and time constraints running a second weekly TV program brings to the company.

Instead GCW will hold more regular House Shows to bring in income from the circuit and will hold the occassional B-Show HELL as it see's fit.

In other news from Glory, Shelton Benjamin defeated Sean Waltman in the final of an 8-Man Tournament to win the GCW Super-Middleweight Title. The Tournament produced some stellar matches as the smaller Junior Heavyweights clashed with the more technical sound but slower sub-Heavyweights, which should ensure that the under-249 lbs Division will be one to watch in GCW for sure.

Shawn Michaels meanwhile, seemed to have turned over a leaf for the worse, as he used very under-handed tactics to beat Mike Awesome for the No.1 Contendership to the World Championship, but now that he has the guaranteed shot against Brock Lesnar what will he do to overcome the ubber-impressive and dominant champ?

In news from Jim Cornette's Talent Relations department, following hot on the heels of the release of Excellence Inc (Michael Modest & Donovan Morgan), GCW released another tag team as Justin Credible and Scorpio - who where wrestling under the guises of Aldo Montoya and Flash Funk where given their notices and can begin to seek work elsewhere immediately due to the company having no plans for them.

Coming in the opposite direction into Georgia where AJ Styles, Kid Kash, Shocker, Psicosis, Hector Garza and Joey Styles who will take over commentating duties from Scott Hudson, who returns to his Interviewing role after Caretaking the post after Diamond Dallas Page left late last year.

Tonight saw the debut of Monday Night Glory on Ted Turner's Superstation WTBS with a new GCW World Champion being crowned as Brock Lesnar entered a dominating performance in the 7-UP Lumberjack Match - that when the match was down to the last 4 - saw him one by one eliminate each and every one of his opponents as he sent The Damaja, Mike Awesome and then finally Shawn Michaels packing to claim the World Championship.

Of note was the reaction of the beaten runner-up Shawn Michaels, who had earlier in the night won a 30-Man Battle Royal to earn a Wild Card entry into the main-event. Michaels was clearly shell-shocked by the fact he was steam-rolled by Lesnar and somewhat nervously backed away from the ring as the new champion was presented with the belt.

Also from the show, the Pitbull Suicide Squad, Paul Burchall and Doug Williams - both apparently formerly a part of the notorious football hooligan firm in the East End of London of the same name - won the GCW World Tag Team Championships lastly defeating The Mean Machines, with Team 3-D and Kronik - the two favourites for the belts - being eliminated early thanks to each other.

In other news, Ted Turner has announced that GCW will present a second show on the Superstation called "B-Show Hell" that will air on Thursday Nights in the 20:00 - 21:00 timeslot.

B-Show Hell will be as the name suggests, a secondary show that will allow feuds to develop and to give wrestlers that are deserving their share of TV time.

The first B-Show Hell will take place this coming Thursday Night and a line-up has already been released for the shows debut;

- GCW World Champion, Brock Lesnar defends the Championship against Michael Modest of Excellence Inc.

- Sean O'Haire and Joe E. Legend will face off against Chris Masters and "The Showstealer" Alex Shane in tag team action in a continuation of a minor feud that developed from the Wildcard Battle Royal.

- Crowbar squares up to the Vampire Warrior, Gangrel.

- GCW World Tag Team Champions, The Pitbull Suicide Squad defends the gold against The Boogie Knights, Alex Wright & Disco Inferno.

Paul Heyman's unemployment, after being "fired" by Scottish Championship Wrestling, was non-existant, as a deal had already been struck behind the scenes that see's Heyman join the Front Office of Georgia Championship Wrestling.

Heyman did not come empty handed as well, as his fist full of dollars earnt while slaving away in Scotland, saw him cash in his Bank of Scotland £100 funny-money notes and purchase shares in the company - and after a board meeting and a re-shuffle of the company stock Heyman, Bischoff and Cornette now all own 16% of the promotion, with Ted Turner still the majority share holder on 52%.

The move see's the company get yet more financial clout, but Eric Bischoff in particular is said to be unhappy with the decision to bring Heyman into the Limited Partnership, but he was out-voted by Cornette and majority shareholder Turner on the issue at the Board meeting.

Paul Heyman will now take charge of the Book and be Head Booker, while Cornette moves to the post of Head of Talent Relations with Bischoff un-changed as Executive Producer.

In other news, the first episode of Monday Night Glory, taking place next weel on Ted Turners Superstation WTBS (21:00 - 23:00) is shaping up to be a great event with all GCW ordered to report to the Arena dressed to wrestle.

In a night of championships being decided, the GCW World Championship, World Tag Team Championships and the Southern Heritage Championship will all be decided on the night - but to find out how and why, well you will you just have to tune in ...

Word is that Head of Creative Jim Cornette, is already getting fed-up with Eric Bischoff interfering in the creative process and this was the reason he struck a deal with SCW today to bring an as of yet un-named 4th person into the management fold.

Details of who this is and what the management structure is now will be revealed at a later date upon the release of SCW TV.

As a result of this deal, "Mean" Mark Callous, Matt Striker and Diamond Dallas Page leave the company for Scotland.

Scott Hudson will step up from Interviewing Duties to replace DDP on the commentary booth and Tyson Bain has wasted to time in appointing new arrival Abyss as his new tag team partner in the Disciples of Synn, replacing Callous who was traded.

Jan 8th 2006 GCW Head of Production Eric Bischoff today revealed in an online interview with 1wrestling.com that the company will be producing the pilot episode of it's new weekly TV show tomorrow night (Monday 9th January) in Atlanta, Georgia.

The show is to be titled "Monday Night Glory" and will air on Ted Turners Superstation WTBS in the 21:00 - 23:00 timeslot.

There was nothing forthcoming about a likely line-up, but rumours are predicting that GCW will either hold a single elimination tournament or a Battle Royal style event to crown the first ever GCW World Heavyweight Champion at the event.

Jan 1st 2006 In a shocking turn of events, former World Championship Wrestling creator and general media magnet Ted Turner has co-lead a consortium also including Eric Bischoff, that will see Jim Cornette sell the majority shareholding in Georgia Championship Wrestling.

Turner will obtain a 50.1% share of the company, with Bischoff receiving 24.95% - Cornette will keep the remaining 24.95% and will slot into the position of Head of Creative in a move that now see's GCW become a three man management team.

Turner, who is already Owner of the MLB's Atlanta Braves, NHL's Atlanta Thrashers & NBA's Atlanta Hawks, is a massive fan of rasslin' - especially in the Atlanta, Georgia region and it is thought he will take up a CEO position, being responsible for finance and taking care of TV deals with his Superstation WTBS etc.

Bischoff will become Head of Production, responsible for every aspect of GCW TV while Cornette is thought to be pleased to concentrate on his creative role while also obtaining a nice return on his original investment in GCW.

Times are exciting for GCW, with the new financial clout meaning the company can now compete with the very best in the GWL and WWA world.

Dec 6th 2005 GCW today announced that their proposed House Show Tour was delayed due to Georgia Championship Wrestling Owner Jim Cornette being delayed with his preparations for the tour due to being head deep in prolonged negoiations with various TV Stations around the Georgia area.

However, GCW today announced that a deal has now been struck which will see GCW receive a weekly 2 hour time slot (19:00-21:00) on the ABC network in the various regions and TV stations shown below;

Atlanta: WSB (Ch. 2)

Augusta: WJBF (Ch. 6)

Columbus: WTVM (Ch. 9)

Macon: WPGA (Ch. 58)

Savannah: WJCL (Ch. 22)

The company are said to be hopeful that should their TV programming be successful, that the ABC Network might expand their product into other areas and markets but for the moment the promotion are very happy with their local TV coverage.

The first TV show is scheduled for Boxing Day of this month, Monday 26th December. Tentative plans for the name of the show are said to want the show to be based on the traditional element of GCW, and rumours are abound that the show may be named "Monday Night Glory", but this is not as of yet confirmed.

But with the TV Deal now confirmed and sealed, GCW are ready to crack on with their House Shows and have announced a short series of free-to-all shows, that will take place at local malls to give passers-by and shoppers a taste of GCW to hopefully spread the word and attendances when GCW runs House Shows with paid-entry soon.

But more than this, this is a massive PR exercise, as the 3 shows will be financed by the ABC Network to hype the forthcoming TV show, and as such should receieve some pretty good local TV & Radio exposure in the region.

In other news, GCW has agreed to host two matches from the World Cup of Wrestling - run by CWX, and will have Team GB verses Team USA on the 13th of December and Team GB verses Team Japan on the 18th of December.

Although these matches will take place at House Shows due to the promotion not debuting on TV until the 26th of December, both matches will be taped (as all matches are at House Shows in one way or another to build the GCW Library for future releases) and so will be shown at a later date on GCW TV and be available for CWX to add to their probable DVD release of the event.

The line-ups for the two World Cup matches have been announced and are as of below;

December 13th, 2005

Team GB (Doug Williams, Jody Fliesch, Jonny Storm & William Regal)
verses
Team USA (Batista, Bryan Danielson, Christopher Daniels & CM Punk)

December 18th, 2005

Team GB (Doug Williams, Jody Fliesch, Jonny Storm & William Regal)
verses
Team JPN (Keiji Muto, Mitsuharu Misawa, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima)

Nov 12th 2005 Georgia Championship Wrestling, an Independant Promotion with links to the Global Wrestling League, today announced that they where now ready to officially launch their product to the masses.

GCW had previously ran a handful of select "Test Shows" in Atlanta and Columbus infront of limited crowds to gauge interest for their product and talent.

Head Booker and Owner of GCW Jim Cornette explained, "We ran the test shows, to give the talent a bit of a dry-run if you will, we didnt want to rush right in willy-nilly and ruin cards with has-been talent and stale as five year old bread gimmicks so we thought, heck why not give the boys a little lee-way and let them develop their look and personalities before the curtain rises for real.

We tried some different things and some different workers. Some cut the mustard and some didn't. Some of them took the chance and developed whole new gimmicks which got over with the select audience whilst others went down like a lead balloon and vanished without trace. But hell son, we'd rather do this sh*t now while we can get away with it rather than mess about on the real shows, but I think we're all set to go now, some dead wood has been cast aside and we now have a real cut and defined roster ready to go for our first series of house-shows which we will be running throughout Georgia this month.

Yeah, that's right son, as much as I respect the tin'ternet and the net smarks and geeks there will be no web-cast shows for GCW, we're just going up and down the roads of Georgia old-school style doing shows and presenting the best possible wrestling action possible. No b*tch slapping contests like you will see clog up cards elsewhere, infact there will be no women's wrestling in GCW because this is a man's world and there is no place for women in professional wrestling apart from being pieces of T & A and as God is my witness you will not be seeing any of that trash in Georgia Championship Wrestling. I'm not one to discriminate against women ... really I'm not ... but as far as I'm concerened the futher away women are from professional wrestling and the closer they are to kitchen sink is all the better for me!

And it seems I'm not the only one to think that way boy, because our new signing Brock Lesnar walked out of one certain organisation for that very reason to join us which I'm sure p*ssed them off, but that's the way the cookie crumble some times and we benefit from their loss because Brock will be a huge signing for us and I'm sure he'll enjoy being apart of a real wrestling promotion!"

Clearly, Cornette has a clear vision of what he wants to produce with GCW and isn't shy about putting his message accross which may irk one or two members of the Wrestling Industry, but it seems Jim Cornette and GCW does not care, but either way wrestling is coming back to Georgia full-time!
