Results from the Card

A special Tuesday Night St. Valentines Day Glory came on the air on the air but there wasn't much love showed tonight at as The Council Members Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman and Jim Cornette all came down to the ring and summoned the #1 Contender to the World Championship Shawn Michaels down to the ring.



"Sexy Boy" hit the soundspeakers and out strutted a cocky HBK, seemingly full of confidence, and full of - well himself amongst other things. Bischoff took the lead and told Michaels that as he knew, The Council had contacted him at the weekend and told him to bring along a tag team partner tonight because he will be facing the GCW World Champion Brock Lesnar and the GCW Super-Middleweight Champion Shelton Benjamin - otherwise known as The Minnesota Stretching Crew in tag team action in tonight's Glory Main-Event.

Michaels took the mike and still confident, told Bischoff and the rest of the Council that he has secured his tag team partner for tonight, but unfortunately he hasn't arrived yet, but stated categorically that his partner is somebody he can trust, somebody who would never let him down and somebody who he is sure he could place his life in the hands of - and that he will be revealed at Main-Event time!

Bischoff smiled and said he hoped Shawn was right, because his life could very well be in his partners hands when he tangles with Brock Lesnar and Shelton Benjamin tonight!


NWA World Welterweight championship Match

AJ Styles [c] vs Psicosis

The NWA's World Welterweight Champion AJ Styles came out and announced that he has signed a big dollar contract with GCW and as a full time roster member would be defending his title in both GCW and the NWA.

His opponent tonight was Mexican star Psicosis who was also making his debut in Georgia and was certainly up for making an impression as he took AJ to the limit in a great little match but the class of Styles shone through as he nailed the Styles Clash to take the victory and retain his title.

Scott Hudson catches a word with Mike Awesome backstage, asking him about his match with Shawn Michaels last week where he was robbed of the #1 Contendership - when suddenly Big Van Vader barges past obviously in a bad mood and knocks Awesome somewhat.

Awesome is p*ssed but trys to remain calm and asks Vader to apologise, the response to which from the Masterdon was not very plesant and was bleeped out by WTSB Superstation. This was like a red rag to a bull for Awesome and he duly charged at Vader and the two tangled seeing various objects and people backstage scattering until Security and random wrestlers break them up.

Singles Match - Normal Rules

Damaja vs "Mr" Ken Kennedy

A solid outing from both men, with perhaps an upset of a result as Kennedy defeats the highly ranked Damaja with the Kenton Bomb and then announced his own victory.

Falls Count Anywhere - No DQ Match

Conscience vs Raven

Making his first appearance in a GCW ring, Conscience came out and right off the bat challenged Raven to an anything goes, falls count anywhere match. Conscience announced that he was tired of the man they call Raven whinging about his pain, because the 'Good Book of Conscience' states and he quotes "life without pain has no meaning.....let me give your life meaning".

This of course, brought out Raven who went right after Conscience and got the upper hand, but after a short while he seemed to lose focus and/or motivation and soon Con took the advantage and never let go and with Raven seemingly unable or unwilling to fight back Conscience hit the Guilt Trip at ringside and then followed it right up with the Absolution Submission for an impressive victory as Raven quickly tapped out.

When Con had left the ring and his errie music cut, Raven was left all alone in the ring to dwell in his thoughts when the lights went out for and when they came back on, for the second week in a row a black baseball bat was laid out infront of a puzzled Raven.

Team 3D then cut a short promo backstage and told Kronik that there was nowhere to hide, no way for them to duck them anymore because they had personally gone to Council Member Paul Heyman, and he had got their notion passed - as next week on Glory ... Team 3D will take on Kronik in a Flaming Tables Match!

GCW Southern Heritage Championship Match (V2)

"Nature Boy" Ric Flair [c] vs Carly Colon

Colon receieved his rematch against the veteran Flair, and you could tell he was sure within himself that tonight he would right the wrong that saw him lose to Flair on Glory's debut, but unfortunately for Carly Flair was in fine form tonight and rolled back the years with a vintage performance that would see him hold off the younger Colon for a ten minute time-limit draw.

Carly went beserk after the match and immediately challenged the "60 Minute Man" Ric Flair to an Iron Man match next week on Glory, most pinfalls and submissions etc within the hour, to decide the championship once and for all. Flair looked to the crowd, who cheered, and smiling he was definately up for the challenge.

Tag Team Challenge Match - Main-Event

The Minnesota Stretching Crew (Brock Lesnar & Shelton Benjamin)
vs
The Midnight Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Janetty)

Lesnar and Benjamin came out first with their respective Championships draped over their shoulders, next out was Shawn Michaels who came down to the ring but waited outside ... then the Rocker's music played and out ran Marty Jannetty to a huge pop from the crowd. So it was to be the MSC against the legendary Rockers!

The Rockers tried to isolate Benjamin and they worked well together in the ring but when Lesnar tagged in, HBK slapped Jannetty on the back to tag himself out. Lesnar then went to work on Jannetty and pulverised him with a big Spinebuster and German Suplexs before setting Marty up for the Veridct - but suprisingly Jannetty showed the form of old and managed to roll-over the top of Brock on the way up and scored a two count with a roll-up.

Jannetty leaped over to his corner to make the tag as a snarling Lesnar got back to his feet, but inexplicably Michaels moved his arm as Marty went for the tag and stepped back, allowing Lesnar to charge him into the corner with a knee lift. HBK then dropped down from the apron and started walking to the back as Lesnar tagged in Benjamin and they double-teamed his partner.

This obviously saw Michaels obtain jeers and crys of him to go back and help out his partner, and at one point it looked like he was considering, but he quickly dismissed the idea and turning his back slowly walked out of the arena as Jannetty got pasted in the ring and eventually fell victim to The Verdict!
