Me Conducting the Fretful Federation Mandolin Orchestra

Stewart Lewins is the conductor of the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Silver Band, near Bath, having taken up the position in September 2004. He has also conducted the Marshfield Town Silver Band and the Bath Spa University College Brass Ensemble. Until 2000 and for a short time in 2004 Stewart conducted Brighton's 25-strong Fretful Federation Mandolin Orchestra and is the only conductor to have led the orchestra to win the British Banjo Mandolin and Guitar Federation Cup for Musicianship when in 2001 the orchestra competed with Konrad Wölki's 'Overture in A major'. In addition, Stewart is the conductor of the Midsomer Norton and Radstock Youth Band and has been a guest conductor with many bands and ensembles in the West of England.
