147 Epilogue - Korea
Some differences from the UK |
|
The flight took a boring 12 hours and so by the time I got out the airport it was 2am on Sunday Korea time (5pm London time).
Then had to take the bus to North London and I began to notice the differences from Korea,
|
- I saw that the bus driver is completely protected by a glass screen against violent people.
- It was already very dark from 4.30pm and it looked much darker than Korea maybe cos the UK uses energy saving orange street lights.
- when you look down as you fly into England you can see so much green land ...the parks, verges etc All very bright green cos of the rain
- You could see that the UK is much more spread out than Korea we passed thousands of houses with their small gardens.
I got to the North London bus station at 6.45pm.
- So I saw that in the UK most shops close at 5.30pm.First the ticket office was closed, so I couldn't buy a ticket so I went to find a travel agent, but all the shops were closed except the food shops.
- Then I found that in the UK there are hardly any buses.
In Korea there's a bus to each city fromn Seoul every 30 mins, but here to my entire region of 2 million people there are 2 buses every day ! and the last one had left at 6pm. The best I could do was wait for 2 hours and then get a bus to Sheffield where my parents met me and drove 70Km home. We got home at 12.30am ie 9.30 Sunday morning Korea time a 20 hour journey.
