120. New Zealand

still a bit boring
Sat - Because it's near to the airport I decided to visit Ambury Park. Of course there is no public bus from the airport. They told me to take the airport bus 20Km into the city and take another 15Km back. So I walked there.

Rather than stay in the downtown area I decided to check out the Waikere area to see if there is a sense of community there. (there isn't)

Sun- Spent the day walking around the Arataki info centre and forest (Giant Kauri trees etc)

Mon- Went upto Orewa.

I was wandering around when I found a public meeting about NZ's "Ocean Policy".

Good to see democracy in action, but I'm sure when the policy comes out it'll be disproportionately to the benefit of Large companies and vested interests : Carter-Holt Harvey and Fletchers and the Chinese company which owns most of the NZ fishing industry

Tue- walked through some more Kauri forest then back to Auckland

Wednesday- walking in Auckland and researching Fiji. I am surprised it's the middle of winter ,but still warm enough to wear shorts.
Thursday - Museum to check out the Fiji exhibits then to St Heliers and East side of Auckland flew to Fiji. Wonder what it will be like NEXT>
