8. The Clearing House Cafe
Went to the Celtic Festival in Coromandel. (seems this Celtic thing is big in NZ the non-Maoris need some heritage to cling on to)
Bryce Stevens and "Doris" (Deborah) have created the Clearinghouse Cafe to serve as a center for the local arty and alternative community.

A place to meet friends, to bring the children to play, use the internet , come to an art class, hear music etc. I'm not really in favour of paying $3 for a coffee when you can make one at home for free, but it is
one of the most impressive cafe I've ever seen. ..garden balconies, views, artwork, kids stuff, library etc
