12. Dunedin

down the coast to Dunedin to the peace park of the Volco Community (voluntary cooperation). The land is a couple of hundred acres of hilly and regency bush. Founded by a 99 year old woman and comprising about 8 young adults just getting organised. They either live in the main house or other huts scattered around the site. They keep sheep for wool for spinning only and are starting to harvest from their permaculture garden.
