Now it's a hybrid walk cos people keep stopping to offer me rides, it's the monsoon season and my feet are a bit buggered

Wednesday Gurye to Hadong, meet beaver project workers, Kimbo a Korean American re-emigrating to the Korean countryside. river valley, tourist stuff etc. Reach Daap nowhere to stay hitched 10Km then walked over the bridge to Hadong.. Yeoinsuk etc

Thursday- Hadong to Sacheon Po - Walked hitched, lunched with a farmer, big resevoir at Jinju
Jinju too big decided to go to travel towards Namhae Island. Sacheon, nowhere to stay, Sacheon Po a lot of Yeoinsuks , walk around the old port town etc

Friday- Sacheon Po to Namhae - Walked to see new bridge, park, Namilhae beach, they were trucking the sand in. Went out into the countryside to see some dolmens, and folk museum. Hitched over bridge to Namhae with Korean Backpacking teacher .. rain. I went to stay at the Youth Hostel, it has 500 beds, but they wouldn't let me stay in a shared room for $8 they wanted me to stay in room for $30 ..then I found I was actually the only person at the hostel that night.

Saturday- walked around the coast of Namhae - Stopping off at a few places like to talk to the women packing anchovies. Hitched to the Namhae Sports park and museum, an old fort. Eventually staying in a small village minbak. some rain

Sunday- walked , bus, hitched off the island and to Gochang ..visited the local park etc.

Monday- walked , bus, hitched etc ..the dinosaur museum.. which was huge on the map, but was mostly a construction site. Masan another of those endless time-wasting cities- train out through some other towns Gimje, Yangsan, Mulgeum. rain

Tuesday- I decided that unfortunately I wasn't finding anything interesting in my random walking so I should go to Busan and onto Japan -walked in another village - train to Busan- nice hostel Blue Hostel- went to the port to check the tickets. Then Modern History museum ...very good. And viewing tower ..pretty good. Met a couple of other travellers and went to drink dong dong ju (I'm sure they gave us Makoli).

Wednesday - Surprise I told Tomi a Japanese cyclist that I had some friends in Miyazaki the Haradas, but I had lost the address and would travel there and hope to find them. Within 10 minutes he found their telephone numbr and called them on his cell phone. He also told me there was a big festival in Fukuoka so I decided to leave on Thursday. In the afternoon I saw some exhibitions at Busan City hall, then History Museum, before getting to the Sangang beach at 6.30pm.

Thursday - I went and got the ticket and bumped into Tomi again we had lunch then I rushed around buying presents to tke to Japan ..I cannot believe that Seaweed and Squid are good presents, but that's what Tomi recommended.
Got on the Ferry sharing a cabin with friendly Japanese tourists on a $100 3 day excursion to Busan. The boat was very civilised it even had an on board public baths. (saw somebody who was very cute, but she was probably only 22 years old)
