Fri- Saemangeum - a controversial land reclamation project
This is the protest camp you can see the seawall in the background wich is suppose to go all the way to the island but, they have stopped the project after 80% of completion
great propaganda exhibition explains how reclaiming the habitat of millios of birds etc will actually benefit nature. ha ha !
but what a mess - the project 80% complete has been stopped 6 months ostensibly cos of a court decision in favor of protecting nature, but after paying all the local compensation so the project was unstoppable, actually the government realises that it will still have to spend a shit load of money to finish the project and now Korea has enough farming land completition won't bring any great benfits.
The big this is actually fixing the mess that they have already to the local ecology made will cost a lot and bring no obvious economic benefits
